Former Kentucky coach Hal Mumme arrested at Lexington hotel

Former Kentucky football coach Hal Mumme was arrested in Lexington early Friday morning.

According to the arrest citation, Mumme was charged with criminal trespassing and resisting arrest at the Hyatt in downtown Lexington. He was asked to leave and refused before allegedly using physical force against a peace officer.

“The listed subject knowingly remained unlawfully in a building,” the citation reads. “Officers asked and told the subject to leave the building multiple times, but the subject refused to leave. The subject attempted to prevent a peace officer, recognized to be acting under color of his official authority, from effecting an arrest of the actor by using physical force and violence against the peace officer.
