Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been very complimentary of his team lately. He went as far as to say that this version of the Dodgers is his favorite that he has ever managed.
In part, Roberts likely feels this way because of the perseverance of this roster. They were supposed to take a step back this year compared to years past, but instead, they have kept their foot on the gas.
LA currently is riding a a 17-2 streak in August and has broken open their NL West lead to 11.5 games. They now have the luxury to rest some players down the stretch, but they can’t get complacent.
